How do I change the DNS settings?

When you want your domain name to appear in your landing page URL you need to update the nameservers (configure DNS) to point your domain to our DNS server.

Note: Use a subdomain for your landing pages if you have a website at your root domain.

To make the nameserver changes, you need to:

  1. Log in to your hosting control panel.

  2. In the domain settings section, look for the DNS settings.

  3. Use the following name servers as the main and primary servers for your domain:

  • dns1.trexecom.com

  • dns2.trexecom.com

  • dns3.trexecom.com

        4. Save the changes.

How long does it take for the changes to the DNS settings to take effect?

It can take up to 24 hours for the changes to be propagated across the internet (in other words, for the nameservers and cache records to be updated). You don’t need to take any action. Just give it up to 24 hours for the process to conclude.

We’ll also let you know if we’re still not able to verify your domain after 48 hours. If you try to use an unverified domain, you’ll see a notification that tells you we couldn’t verify it. This means the domain you’d like to assign doesn’t show anywhere in the DNS records. When you see it, you need to double-check your DNS settings.
